A Gentle place to Grieve and Grow
The Healing Haven Grief Retreat
Hosted By Leanne Fera & Jessica Stewart
Friday October 17 through Sunday October 19, 2025
ALL Inclusive Overnight Retreat

This retreat is for you if...
-
You’re carrying grief that feels too heavy to hold alone.
-
You need time and space away from the noise of daily life to simply feel without judgment.
-
You’ve been putting on a brave face, but inside you're overwhelmed, exhausted, or numb.
-
You’re looking for healthier ways to cope beyond just “getting through the day.”
-
You long to feel even the smallest moments of peace, joy, or connection again.
-
You want to be surrounded by others who get it. No fixing, just understanding.
-
Because healing doesn’t happen in isolation - healing happens in safe, shared spaces.
Meet Your Hosts And Why This Retreat Was Born
Leanne Fera, Host/Widow
Founder of @projectmentalwellness

After the 2022 loss of her husband to suicide, Leanne lost the future she dreamed of, the rhythm of her family, and a sense of who she was.In that darkness, she founded Project Mental Wellness, a small nonprofit, to raise awareness about mental health, hoping to turn pain into purpose. As Leanne walked alongside others in their struggles, she learned she also needed to sit with her own. To give herself and her children permission to grieve fully—and live fully too. She has learned the two things can be true at the same time, you can be both happy and sad.
This retreat was born from that truth.
It’s a space for those navigating profound loss—who are searching not for a way out of grief, but a way to carry it with tenderness and strength. We will hold space for both sorrow and joy, for silence and laughter, for memory and hope. This isn’t about “moving on.” It’s about moving with. Honoring our stories, our scars, and learning to see the beautiful things life still offers—even here.
If your heart feels called to this, you are so welcome here.

Jessica Stewart, Host/Widow
Founder of @highway_2_heal
After losing her spouse in a motorcycle accident in June of 2022, Jess’s entire world collapsed. Through her darkest days, she could feel his spirit push her to keep going and utilize her beautiful community of healers to help move forward through this tragedy. A short time into her healing journey, she knew her heart & soul needed to create a special space for others to experience all the modalities that were and are still helping her today, all in one place…..this was the birth of her personal retreat, Highway 2 Heal. Jess’s mission will always be to help those grieving, by understanding that they are not suffering alone, that their loved ones are right there beside them and that they have an army behind them to help in their journey.
The universe works in amazing ways and through loss, Leanne and Jess crossed paths. This was a connection made for a greater purpose. Together, they are providing a safe space for people navigating grief; to embrace their story, to acknowledge it, to honour it, heal & grow through it. The Healing Haven is a full weekend experience surrounded by natures beauty, with those that understand.
We welcome you and are beyond honoured to have you join us

Meet the Team That Heals
Yoga Instructor Leanna Cove
RYT – 200hr Yoga Teacher Training, Restorative Yoga, YogaFit for Warriors (PTSD), 100hr Grief Yoga® Teacher, Holistic Nutritionist
Leanne has been teaching since 2018, creating a safe and welcoming space for students of all levels to show up exactly as they are. Leanne encourages students to listen deeply and honour their bodies, helping them access their inner wisdom and a state of peace and calm. By guiding individuals inward through the body, breath and meditation, she supports them in connecting to their true selves, returning to their hearts and remembering their inner light that always resides within.
After the unexpected loss of her husband, Leanne enrolled in the Grief Yoga® Teacher Training and found it to be one of the most powerful tools for releasing the pain and trauma stored in the body and for processing and moving through the emotional intensity of grief.
Grief Yoga is a sacred experience of compassionate transformation that uses movement, breath and sound to release the pain and struggle of grief and loss, making space for more empowerment, love and connection. This practice is not about physical flexibility, but emotional transformation. It is Leanne’s greatest honour to hold people in their deepest grief – or wherever they are on their grief journey – offering compassionate support and gently guiding them along a pathway toward healing.

Rami Shami - Kintsugi Bowl: The Art of Precious Scars
Through our journey of life many of us are touched by painful events such as loss, trauma and grief. Oftentimes our lives are left in disarray as we attempt to move on and cope by hiding or burying our painful feelings. This experiential workshop utilizes a meditative process through a tangible medium to help develop resiliency and healing in the face of loss and trauma. The Kintsugi Bowl is an ancient Japanese healing practice that serves to join back together that which was once broken, while showcasing the breaks and honouring the process.

Kin means golden, Tsugi means repair, thus Kintsugi means ‘Golden Repairing’.
This training is usually delivered as a two-part workshop, where we will journey through the breaking of a self-selected bowl, and then repairing it by gluing back together the pieces that remain. This self-reflective process symbolizes the healing that can
transpire through a facilitated expression of our pain.
